The monthly meeting of the Ipswich Group features Gary Gascoyne, with a fascinating illustrated talk entitled Blood, Pain, Filth and Quacks. He tells the story of healthcare before the coming of the age of Science, when Ignorance, Faith, Folklore and poor public health dominated both attitudes to health and treatments. People of a nervous disposition shopuld steel themselves for some serious gore.
Starts at 7:30 pm. £2 for members of the Society. £2.50 for non-members. Pay on door. No need to book, Just turn up. Non-members can join on the night.
