BRIGADOON - Community of Hungerford Theatre Company

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

Music by Frederick Loewe; Libretto & Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner. Americans Tommy & Jeff chance upon a Scottish village, Brigadoon, in the mist. They find that it's enchanted and comes to life for one day every hundred years. They meet Fiona and Meg. We follow the villagers through a day that includes a wedding and learn that if any inhabitant leaves Brigadoon the spell will be broken. There is near disaster when a young Scot tries to take his revenge. Tommy is now deeply in love with Fiona but he cannot stay. He goes back with Jeff to New York and quarrels with his fiancée. He then sees a vision of Fiona and knows he must return to Scotland. There by the power of love he reawakens the slumbering Brigadoon just long enough for him to be reunited with Fiona.

Nightly at 7:15. Saturday Matinee at 2:15 Tickets for the show are available at the theatre box office in Crown Needlework or by calling 01488 684011

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"We used it to promote a one day open day and it turned out to be the most effective way of getting visitors; slightly over 1/3 rd came through your site, 1/3 from posters and flyers and rather less than 1/3 from the £1,000 of local press ads we paid for!." - The Midland Gliding Cub.
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
