Come Winter Pruning at Warden Abbey Community Vineyard! Tuesdays and Fridays Jan-Feb

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

Not all cut-backs are bad! The secateurs are back in action once again at the community vineyard at Warden Abbey, where Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity (BRCC) is offering people the opportunity to get “hands on” and help with the winter pruning of the vines. BRCC is running this award-winning vineyard as a not-for profit community vineyard project in partnership with Shuttleworth/Bedford College, providing opportunities for the whole community to get involved. There are around 4,250 vines in the vineyard and all need pruning before they start into active growth again in the spring. Why not come and try your hand? Contact: Jane Markham 07981 113714 or info@wardenvineyard.org.uk

Volunteers meet every Tuesday and Friday in Jan and Feb 2021 from 9:30 (weather permitting). Please contact Jane on 07981 113714 for joining and other details, and to join our newsletter mailing list; or email below. Training/guidance/equipment will be given - no previous experience necessary.

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"One of our homes had a Red Cross Open day recently and 30% of the visitors had seen the event listed on your site" - Wellburn.
"We had an excellent response from our posting on WhereCanWeGo.com, and it was responsible for drawing folk from a wide area to our event; we recommend you as being the most effective form of publicity around." - Barbara , Village Celebration Food & Crafts Fairs.
