CONSERVATION OF THE MAURITIUS KESTREL

A joint meeting with Reading and District Natural History Society. Once the world's rarest bird, numbers of the Mauritius Kestrel have increased from 4 to 400, thanks to an intense conservation programme. Based on research at the University of Reading, the talk will describe the ecology of the kestrel and outline the history of its decline and dramatic recovery.
