Jehan Alain - Man and Music
Fate granted very little time to an artist who died prematurely at the very beginning of the Second World War at the age of twenty-nine. Born in 1911, Jehan Alain was a French organist and composer. His work was influenced by a variety of styles, including the music of Debussy and Messiaen. His studies barely completed, Alain found himself at war and was killed by enemy fire in 1940.
