Coventry Donkey Derby
The annual Lions Donkey Derby and Charities Fair takes place at the Coventry Memorial Park Saturday 3rd September 2016.
Coventry’s answer to Royal Ascot; all the thrills of a day at the races where you can have a bet on the winner – without losing your shirt, or merely watch and be thrilled by the spectacle of racing donkeys. And it’s combined with a traditional village fete…but much, much bigger. Indeed, it’s the biggest such event in the country….and it’s free – even the parking!

It starts at 12 noon with the first donkey race starting at 1pm. You can even have a go yourself by racing against others on the trap (sulky) with a racing donkey.
