"The Sorcerer"

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

A rare chance to see a lesser-known Gilbert & Sullivan Operetta, in our 40th Anniversary Year. A young Grenadier Guard called Alexis is in love with Aline, and they are so happy Alexis wants everyone in the village to be as happy as they are. He enlists the services of a Sorcerer to distribute a Philter (love potion) to the village people at their engagement party. Having taken the potion they all fall in love with the first person of the opposite sex that they meet, with hilarious results. You must come and see for yourself! You will hear good music, beautiful singing, and witness the wizardry of the Sorcerer as well as the magic of pyrotechnics. A Show not to be missed.

Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"We had an excellent response from our posting on WhereCanWeGo.com, and it was responsible for drawing folk from a wide area to our event; we recommend you as being the most effective form of publicity around." - Barbara , Village Celebration Food & Crafts Fairs.
"We used it to promote a one day open day and it turned out to be the most effective way of getting visitors; slightly over 1/3 rd came through your site, 1/3 from posters and flyers and rather less than 1/3 from the £1,000 of local press ads we paid for!." - The Midland Gliding Cub.
