Lis Rhodes: Dissonance and Disturbance

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

Since the 1970s, Lis Rhodes has been making radical and experimental films that challenge the viewer to reconsider film as a medium of communication and the presentation of image, language and sound. This exhibition looks at the relationship of Rhodes’ work to performance, photography, composition, writing and political commentary At the ICA, Rhodes’ films will be presented as large-scale installations within the upper galleries. Films from throughout Rhodes’ career are included from Dresden Dynamo (1972) to her most recent works, In the Kettle (2010) and Whitehall (2011).

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"We used it to promote a one day open day and it turned out to be the most effective way of getting visitors; slightly over 1/3 rd came through your site, 1/3 from posters and flyers and rather less than 1/3 from the £1,000 of local press ads we paid for!." - The Midland Gliding Cub.
"One of our homes had a Red Cross Open day recently and 30% of the visitors had seen the event listed on your site" - Wellburn.
