This exhibition was the culmination of two journeys recorded in travelling war diaries to Iraq and the North West frontier, on the Afghan and Pakistan border. Doug retired in 2007 after a full and eventful service with the Parachute Regiment, living out of a Bergen, carrying ammo, rations, water and a sketch book. Currently serving with the 3rd Battalion, Royal Anglian Regiment, Lowestoft Platoon, he leads and develops young Territorial soldiers helping them to undertake the very missions that have been part of his life for so long.
9am ’til dusk. Long Gallery, Visitor Centre. Free admission, but donations appreciated. Car park charge applies.
