MERL: Exhibition of Fieldwork: photographs of East Anglia

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

Justin Partyka has been photographing rural East Anglia for over a decade, exploring the diverse lives of rabbit catchers, reed cutters, and small-scale farmers. The identities of these forgotten people of the flatlands are enriched by their close relationships with the landscape. In the age when industrial agriculture dominates, Partyka's photographs challenge contemporary ideas and capture a marginal way of life. This exhibition is free to view during MERL's normal opening times. Ir runs from January 21st 2012 - 22nd April 2012

The exhibition can be seen during MERL’s normal opening hours (see www.reading.ac.uk/merl) or phone 0118 378 8660.

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
"We had an excellent response from our posting on WhereCanWeGo.com, and it was responsible for drawing folk from a wide area to our event; we recommend you as being the most effective form of publicity around." - Barbara , Village Celebration Food & Crafts Fairs.
