Matt Andersen returns - big blues

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

If you look on YouTube for this man, you'll see that his first five listed videos have received, between them, seven hundred thousand views. That's no mean feat! Have a look at our video of Matt's last visit to Broseley's Birchmeadow, which undoubtedly is becoming one of Shropshire's leading music venues. And as you'll see, he was just astonishing. 'Perfect pitch', our lighting man (Richard Robey) said of Matt's singing, in all its moods and volumes (and he's been playing in bands for decades, so knows what he's talking about). Matt's website is called 'stubby fingers' - but stubby or not, the way they worked his guitar was nothing short of breathtaking. If you miss this one, you're off your rocker.

Doors open 7:30 - local support act to start. Tickets £7 in advance, £8 at door.

Fordante concert of light classical music
Fordante is Shropshire’s award winning ensemble. They play original music and lots of melodies we’ve grown to love, especially from films. The five highly experienced classical musicians are inspired by a popular blend of world music styles, baroque and classical music, emotive themes and passionate melodies. Listen and watch them on our website.

Jake Cogan and the Liberty Roses
Another fabulous music evening ahead - good acoustics, cabaret layout, top value. "One of folk music’s new and exciting artists, with a beautiful, mellifluous voice that seems to spring forth from the depths of a trance, like rolling mist over Scottish glens. Gorgeous, folkish music, with an alt-country feel."

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
"One of our homes had a Red Cross Open day recently and 30% of the visitors had seen the event listed on your site" - Wellburn.
