Elusive Symmetry - An evening of Hip Hop Dance with Electro/Acoustic Music

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

Elusive Symmetry is an explosion of hip hop dance and electro-acoustic music, inspired by the life and work of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher. The acclaimed hip hop dancer Lizzie Gough (Some Like It Hip Hop, BBC1's So You Think You Can Dance, Blaze) takes centre stage with her own solo choreography that is at times heart-rending, at other times fiesty and entertaining, drawing on her unique blend of popping, locking and jazz styles. The original score for harp, guitar, percussion and electronics, by renowned musicians Alan Thomas and Eleanor Turner, draws on classical, contemporary, hip hop and electronic music with sampled sounds from the natural world. This is performed live on stage, bringing the age-old symbiotic relationship between musician and dancer into sharp focus. Come and

"We had an excellent response from our posting on WhereCanWeGo.com, and it was responsible for drawing folk from a wide area to our event; we recommend you as being the most effective form of publicity around." - Barbara , Village Celebration Food & Crafts Fairs.
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
