Elusive Symmetry is an explosion of hip hop dance and electro-acoustic music, inspired by the life and work of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher. The acclaimed hip hop dancer Lizzie Gough (Some Like It Hip Hop, BBC1's So You Think You Can Dance, Blaze) takes centre stage with her own solo choreography that is at times heart-rending, at other times fiesty and entertaining, drawing on her unique blend of popping, locking and jazz styles. The original score for harp, guitar, percussion and electronics, by renowned musicians Alan Thomas and Eleanor Turner, draws on classical, contemporary, hip hop and electronic music with sampled sounds from the natural world. This is performed live on stage, bringing the age-old symbiotic relationship between musician and dancer into sharp focus. Come and
