The Gonzaga Band: Faye Newton, soprano; Jamie Savan, cornetto; Jacob Herringman, lute; Stephen Devine, virginals; Susan Pell, viola da gamba Playing The Secret Muse - Music at the Court of Late Renaissancce Ferrara. Many of the composers featured in this concert - Luzzaschi, Zenobi, Piccinini - were closely associated with Ferrara, and identified by Monteverdi as his musical forebears.
