Walk around the C18 formal parkland landscape, with stunning mature lime trees, a huge sweet chestnut tree, all surrounding the lake, with dovecote, bog pond and formal pond, set amongst C12 ramparts, dominated by the spectacular Norman Keep. Carpets of snowdrops in Feb, and young rhododendrons in May. Open:For NGS: Thur 9 Feb; Sun 20 May (11-3). 2013 Tue 12 Feb.
