Puxton Park Urges Children to Support Conservation
This is a Past Event and has been Archived.
CHILDREN from across the region are being urged to support the environment by attending a Conservation Day at Puxton Park, near Weston-super-Mare. The popular adventure park in Hewish is keen on conservation having planted more than 4,000 trees within the grounds last year. Puxton managing director Alistair Mead is keen to continue this trend in 2012 by hosting its first Conservation day of the year on February 13. The day is part of a host of entertainment planned for the half term week and will involve children meeting farmer Mark Slade to plant various native trees, shrubs and bulbs. Youngsters will also be given their own pots to plant seeds and take home with them at the end of the day.
