Ian Siegal
This is a Past Event and has been Archived.
Charismatic, massively talented and as ruggedly handsome as they come, MOJO magazine rates Siegal “the cleverest writer and most magnetic performer of Blues in the UK”. His CD Broadside was the first by a non-American artist to be MOJO’s Blues Album of the Year. He is also one of only two living British artists to be given the highest rating in the Penguin Book of Blues. And his latest CD The Skinny was recorded in Mississippi among the distinctive musicians of the hill country blues. Siegal’s live performances are captivating. “The man is a star. Period” is how one reviewer described Siegal after an appearance at London’s Jazz Café.
