Vintage chiller at Ely gallery puts the ‘cult’ in culture

The 1957 movie Night of the Demon will lead the new CULTure Babylon series of events, aimed at all things off-beat and cult at Ely’s Babylon Gallery This rare screening of Night of the Demon, on February 17 will include a talk by Tony Earnshaw, author of Beating the Devil – which tells the troubled story of how the movie was made – with getting past England’s censors being one of the biggest problems! Tony Earnshaw will outline the key highlights of the film with facts about the stars and locations that will fascinate both devotees of the film, and also those seeing it for the first time. Night of the Demon is based on the MR James story, Casting the Runes.
