Ceilidh with Cat Kelly + Jamie Huddlestone with caller Gareth Kiddier

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

Get in to the festival spirit and help us raise some money to make Folk Weekend Oxford 2012 the best festival EVER! Music for the ceilidh will be provided by Cat Kelly and Jamie Huddlestone. Cat and Jamie are well-known around the Oxfordshire folk scene for their foot-stomping tunes – this is a rare chance to catch them in 2012 (it’s more difficult to arrange gigs when one of you lives in Finland…) so don’t miss it! Cat and Jamie are joined by the splendid Mr Gareth Kiddier to call the dances. Gareth is best known as the pianist for ceilidh legends The Bismarcks, as well as Polkaworks and The Watch. He’s also a fabulous caller, and will guide you expertly through the dances.

8 - 11pm Tickets are £9 (£6 concessions) They are available in advance from the website (£1 online booking fee applies) or on the door 07866 804220

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
"We had an excellent response from our posting on WhereCanWeGo.com, and it was responsible for drawing folk from a wide area to our event; we recommend you as being the most effective form of publicity around." - Barbara , Village Celebration Food & Crafts Fairs.
