Claire Tomalin, renowned biographer,* Celebrating Dickens in Southwark: Tuesday 7 February 2012 *”Dickens, A Life” published Autumn 2011, Viking” Exhibition (Southwark Cathedral) A selection of Charles Dickens’ letters and other arte facts will be on display (loaned by kind permission of Lord Harris of Peckham) During the afternoon: (Southwark Cathedral) Bells Ring Out: The Ancient Society College Youths and Southwark Cathedral’s Bellringers are ringing a full peal to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Charles Dickens’ birth. In his journals, Charles Dickens, recorded visits he made to the Ancient Society of College Youths in the bell tower of what was then St Saviour’s church, now Southwark Cathedral. 2.30 pm
