Bauhaus - designing the 20th century

This is a Past Event and has been Archived.

An illustrated talk by Graham Whitham on the interwar German school that influenced modern architecture and design. Opened in 1919 and closed by the Nazis fourteen years later, the Bauhaus created new forms of art, architecture and design that were to have a lasting and profound influence in our modern world. Graham Whitham has lectured at the Tate Gallery, Royal Acadamy and at galleries in the USA and Italy. He now teaches on the University of Kent’s degree programme. He is the co-author of “Understand Art History” and “Understand Contemporary Art”, both published in 2010, and is a contributor to many other publications. Evening presented by The Tunbridge Wells Twinning & Friendship Association.

7.30pm. Tickets will be on sale at the door - £3 (TWTFA members), £4 (non-members). Call Michael Holman, TWTFA Chairman, on 01892 523013 for further details.

Every event on WhereCanWeGo has been added by the organisers themselves, so you get a really good feel for what events are about.
If you're organising a public event, you can promote it for FREE by registering here ~ it works so well.
Don't take our word. See what our organisers say:
"We used it to promote a one day open day and it turned out to be the most effective way of getting visitors; slightly over 1/3 rd came through your site, 1/3 from posters and flyers and rather less than 1/3 from the £1,000 of local press ads we paid for!." - The Midland Gliding Cub.
"Our event was a success due in no small part to your inclusion of it and the fact that yours was the first entry in an internet search for the title of the exhibition. The days of chasing after printed media coverage are over. Where Can We Go gave us excellent coverage and and we would be happy to recommend your service to organisations large and small." - Jock, Herald Events.
