Kantanti Ensemble: The Lark Ascending

In February the Kantanti Ensemble presents an uplifting programme of English serenades and romances. The finest young professional musicians join forces with stars of the international stage to perform music by Vaughan Williams, Elgar and Britten. No less than 20 exciting soloists include the LSO’s young principal Lorenzo Iosco, making a welcome return in Finzi’s poignant, passionate Clarinet Concerto. Plus Kantanti principal players give a short pre-concert recital including works by Rakhmaninov, Ravel and Poulenc’s witty, virtuosic Sextet.
