Tanat Theatre are celebrating their thirtieth birthday with, amongst other things, a production of Billy Liar, a play by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall, which as a film starred Albert Finney and which was Tom Courtney's first big stage roll. In this story of a bored young man creating an almost mythical world for himself, Ben Vaughan is playing Billy with his long suffering mother and father being played by Janet Needham and Brian Dulson. Grandma is played by Anne Jones and Arthur by Tom Payne. Billy's three girlfriends, yes three girlfriends are played by Sophie Missen, Loren Morris and Mary Cox.
