Largest Steam Engine in Cheshire in steam early May Bank Holiday
There are few people who are not moved and enthralled by the sight and sound of a giant steam engine in motion. The power and majesty of the spinning flywheel ignites a passion deep inside and makes you wonder about the work and history of these industrial giants.
The Stott mill engine at the museum has been lovingly restored by our volunteers and will run on live steam for the second time this year, over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
The towering Stott engine has the power of 250 horses.
There is no additional charge to see the steam engine, normal museum entry applies.
Museum is open 10:00 - 17:00 both days.
The Craft Centre at the museum will also be in operation.
