St Saviourgate Unitarian Chapel

Heritage Open Day: Living history, recollections of the chapel community and that of the surrounding area. Displays of photographs, memories of the chapel and the surrounding area, and a computer generated view of the Chapel as it looked before the Victorian ceiling was installed. St Saviourgate Unitarian Chapel is the oldest surviving Nonconformist Chapel in York built in 1692. It is also thought to be the earliest span roof brick building in York. It came within a week of total collapse in the
