Heritage Open Day: Once known as the Cathedral of the Dales, St Andrew's dates from Norman times and once administered a vast parish from Whernside to Kirkby, which has shaped the history of the village for 10 centuries. Learn about the great fire in 1910 and see the wonderful restoration by well known local craftsmen. Hear about the local legends surrounding the gravestones. Visit the market cross and restored pinfold nearby.
