John Mills - Segovia – The Ramirez Years
Renowned classical guitarist John Mills presents a concert celebrating the virtuoso Andres Segovia.
Segovia is known as the father of modern classical guitar music, remembered for his expressive performances and distinctive style.
In this recital Mills will play a guitar which was specially designed for Segovia by Spanish guitar makers Ramirez, performing a selection of pieces written for and transcribed by Segovia, including works by Tansman, Torroba, Haug and Castelnuovo – Tedesco.
