Winterreise / The Fatal Chance (Petworth Literary Weekend)
Devised by Robert Murray (tenor) and Sean Street with Andrew West (piano)
The Fatal Chance grew out of a project entitled Seventy Degrees Below Zero, a cantata by Cecilia McDowall, commissioned to mark the centenary in 2012 of Captain Robert Scott’s polar expedition. The text comprised extracts from the Journals of Captain Scott, along with new poems by Sean Street.
