A Talk by Derek Scott - “Humorous Devices in G&S”
The December meeting of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Manchester, is a talk by Derek Scott, Professor of Critical Musicology at the University of Leeds. He has tremendous enthusiasm for and knowledge of G&S and is a very entertaining speaker. His talk looks at the humorous devices used by Sullivan in the music of the operas. All visitors are very welcome to attend this free event.
