Clark Tracey Quintet

Clark Tracey, son of British jazz legend Stan Tracey, is among the cream of international jazz drummers. This young quintet, Clark's latest venture, is justifiably causing a musical stir. With the ex-NYJO Henry Armburg Jennings on trumpet, shimmering altoist Chris Maddock, hard swinging pianist Reuben James, and the outstanding Daniel Casimir on bass, the band is sure to get your pulse racing. "Phew! Just getting my breath back from a gig at the excellent Folkestone Jazz Club. The superb Clark Tracey quintet, like the famous Massey Hall concert quintet, had not performed together before. They'd travelled far and had only time for a run-through of one number. It was the best gig I'd attended for a year or so. Clark managed to hold the reins for the superb set. Justice needs to be kind to keep this group intact. Five stars for five stars." -- Alan Luff, Jazz Journal, July 2013
