NYOS Symphony Orchestra, Glasgow - The Year of the Trumpet
NYOS is joined by one of the orchestra’s most popular recent conductors as New Zealander Tecwyn Evans leads a Commonwealth Celebration in Dundee and Glasgow. The Orchestra will be joined by one of the nation’s foremost musicians, trumpeter and RCS Principal John Wallace CBE, in James MacMillan’s Trumpet Concerto ‘Epiclesis’, a work both atmospheric and transcendental in equal measure. The Orchestra will also perform music by Walton, NYOS–alumnus Peter Longworth and Elgar’s stirring Enigma Variat
