This day is arranged by English Heritage and Beccles Town Council have joined in this countrywide event for a number of years.
This gives local and visitors the opportunity of meeting with the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Beccles along with the Local Historian. The Town Council chamber is a secret place, waiting to be discovered by those who sometimes haven't realised that Beccles has a Town Council, let alone a Town Hall! It is quite lovely to see their faces when they walk in.....
