Introduction to Zooarchaeology: Bones
This course will provide an introduction to the study of animal bones from archaeological sites. Through lectures and practical sessions, topics covered will include species and element identification, ageing, sexing, and taphonomy. This course assumes no prior knowledge and can be taken on its own, but the subject will be enhanced by also attending the workshop on animal teeth (Saturday May 24th).
10am-3pm
Tickets cost £25 and must be booked in advance.
Everyone is welcome (no previous archaeological experience necessary), but participants must be aged over 16 years.
