With the Centenary of World War One very much in people’s minds, The Wirral can lay claim to nurturing one of its most important figures.

Wilfred Owen is one of the most highly regarded and best loved poets of The Great War, and he spent his youth here in The Wirral, and attended The Birkenhead Institute.

Bullets And Daffodils tells Wilfred's story from the back streets of Tranmere to the trenches of The Somme.

His most iconic poems, including Anthem For Doomed Youth, Futility and
