Gloucestershire Composers in the First World War

An afternoon talk by Tim Porter

An important part of our local history is the extraordinary musical flowering of Gloucestershire a hundred years ago. Howells, Gurney, Holst and Vaughan Williams all led adventurous lives and wrote groundbreaking music. Join local historian Tim Porter to hear how the First World War was a key experience for Gloucestershire composers.
