1914: The Eve of War
This summer, Kentwell is holding a special event marking the centenary of the outbreak of the Great War. 'The Eve of War' will focus upon the domestic context of life in 1914 the weekend before war was declared.
The event will run over the weekend of the 2nd-3rd August, with around 20-30 re-enactors on site portraying life as it was for families, men signing up, household staff and others, prior to the war.
The house and gardens will be open on both days for visitors from 11am
