World War 1 Exhibition
Newton Abbot Museum brings you a touring exhibition focussing on the town during WW1. For 15 months at the end of the war, Seale-Hayne became a military hospital treating “shell-shocked” patients. A remarkable doctor Arthur Hurst achieved some astonishing cures with extraordinary methods. Documents, photos and artefacts about this remarkable period in Seale-Hayne’s history will be on display.
