The play tells the story of Rudyard Kipling and his determination to send his myopic son to war, triggering a bitter family conflict. It's a powerful and moving story which is perfect to stage in the year which marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. The action takes place in the drawing room of the Kipling family home, Batemans, and also in the trenches in France.
