Scott, Shackleton and Nansen - the Age of Polar Heroes
Dr Max Jones will examine the heyday of polar heroes in Britain, telling the stories of Scott, Shackleton and Nansen. The museum will also be holding a Shackleton trail throughout August.
Dr Jones is currently a Senior Lecturer in Modern History at the University of Manchester and was the university’s ‘Teacher of the Year’ in 2008.
