Tonight's soloist, David Cohen, is no stranger to the LSO. Four years ago his sonorous and majestic playing impressed so much that we had to invite him back. On his return he will perform Shostakovich's First Cello Concerto, a piece written for Rostropovich and one that will truly showcase Cohen's talent.
