'Marsden Remembers' - Commemoration of the First World War
Supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. A parade from Marsden British Legion Club (at 10.40am), led by Marsden Silver Prize Band, through the village to the Cenotaph in Marsden Park, where a short service will be held. The parade will then march through Marsden to St Bartholomew’s Church for a service of Remembrance (at 12.00noon) and the launch of an exhibition which will commemorate the 147 men of the village who died, and look at the effect of the War on local life, as events developed on a
