All about Asters!
See the National Collection of Asters in its prime in the glorious gardens of Upton House. Upton is home to part of the National Collection of Asters. The collection was started by Miss Elizabeth Allen who first saw them grown by her friend Mrs Thornley in the 1940s. Over the next 50 years she established the largest collection of Asters in Britain. The colourful collection consists of nearly 100 species and cultivars of Aster amellus, ericoides and cordifolius for all our visitors to enjoy.
11am - 4pm. Normal National Trust admission prices apply. Property is closed on Thursdays.
