Spohr The Last Judgement: Oxford Harmonic Choir

Louis Spohr was an important and well-regarded composer in nineteenth-century Europe, and his extensive repertoire is undergoing a long-overdue revival. We are delighted to contribute to this by presenting his oratorio The Last Judgement.
First performed in English in 1830, it is at times reminiscent of Handel while being firmly rooted in the Classical tradition, and was an immensely popular piece for many years. Oxford Harmonic Choir are joined by the Orchestra of Stowe Opera.
