Janine Partington - Maker in Focus
janine combines the traditional craft of enamelling with fresh, contemporary designs. She takes inspiration from trees, flowers, leaves and seed heads, moving their forms in a new direction and creating wall panels, standing figures and jewellery. Janine's work is created using the technique of dusting powdered vitreous enamel over hand-cut stencils onto copper. The copper is then fired at a temperature of 800°C and not until the metal cools do the true colours of the panel emerge.
