St Peter's Church, Congleton
Heritage Open Day: St. Peter's is a Grade I listed Georgian church. 'The church preserves more original Georgian furnishings than any other town church in the region, and is one of the finest anywhere' (Church Buildings Council). It contains many memorials to civic and business leaders in the town from the era of the rebuilding in 1740 and the development of the silk industry in Congleton. The church contains many items of significance including paintings of St. Peter's
