Cartmel Priory Gatehouse
Heritage Open Day: The Gatehouse is, along with the Priory itself, the only remaining part of the 12th century Augustinian Priory at Cartmel. The gatehouse itself was built in the 14th century as a response to Scottish raids into Furness. The Great Hall above the archway is open to the public during Heritage Open Days.
