Church of St John the Evangelist

Heritage Open Day: Whichever way you head towards Goole, the spire of St John's Church is one of the landmarks visible for miles around, along with the dockside cranes and the 'salt and pepper pot' water towers. The church was built beside the docks in the heart of this purpose-built port town and consecrated in 1848.
