Goole First World War Research Group Exhibition

Heritage Open Day: 2014 marks the centenary of the outbreak of the First World War. This exhibition, by the Goole First World War Research Group, shows how the war impacted on the people of Goole - some of whom made the 'supreme sacrifice' and others who returned home to their loved ones. The town suffered on the home front too, with 16 people killed in a Zeppelin raid in 1915. The exhibition includes photographs, letters and postcards (original or copied) and medals.
