Redoubt Fortress & Military Museum

Heritage Open Day: Originally completed in 1807 during the Napoleonic wars, the impressive Redoubt Fortress & Military Museum has stood guard on the South Coast for over 200 years. It is the most complete fortress of its type in the UK. Visitors can take advantage of free entry on the Heritage Open Days, plus free tours of the building. There is also a building trail for kids to take part in.
