Walk the Past that was the Future

Heritage Open Day: Sidney Little - Borough Engineer (1926-1951) often known as 'the Concrete King' was responsible for many improvements to the town during the depression years of the 1930s. One of his greatest was the futuristic riviera front line, double deck promenade, all-weather public leisure facility, the Sun Lounge, Bottle Alley, not forgetting the first underground car parking in the country too. Stroll and hear how all of this was created by this great visionary of the time
