St James the Less and St Helen's Church, Colchester

Heritage Open Day: Built in 1837 and designed by John Joseph Scholes, a leading Roman Catholic architect and scholar, this church was the first post-reformation Catholic Parish Church in Colchester. Built in white brick in the Norman style, without a tower but with Gothic style turrets. The wide interior consisting of Norman columns. Early 20th century extensions, and a new chapel in 1987.
